April 29, 2004 - 11:26 a.m. This weekend those Krazies from Chunk 666 are bringing a little slice of Portland to Our Fair City. It's part of the NYC Bike Show, at the Armory at 26th and Lexington. Friday night is some kind of beer swilling and bike riding around a track? following the Critical Mass ride. Saturday is a "mini-chunkathalon" involving the Baby Snatch, Tall Bike Jousting, etc. Use your judgment, folks. I am leaning toward the party, you wanna go? Hmm, and next Friday is more lunacy with MAD MAX with bicycle short films May 7 (Friday): 7 pm The NEST – 88 Front Street (Brooklyn) See Mad Max on the big screen, accompanied by original bicycle-themed short films. F to York Street Run For Your Life is a three day festival of art, films, falling down, dancing all night, stupid games, astounding tricks, bands who don't mess around and (of course) tall bike jousting. Black Label Bike Club and the Brooklyn Underground Film Festival. Of course, this Sunday (5/2) is Bike New York, which at some point I convinced myself I would do, but since I have not solved my bike storage problem I would have to go out to my folks' and give it a tune up and get it back here in order to participate. Unless you lend me one. Who am I even talking to? You. Yes, you.
