People, I'm going to do it. I'm going to fast. I'm just too curious not to. Who knows what it will cure? My one fear is that after the plaques or whatever are eliminated, my absorption will become so good that I will no longer be able to eat anything I want without gaining weight. Then again, my persistent hunger has become something of a burden at times. I am not going to go all the way with The Master Cleanser, which is just lemon juice, grade B maple syrup, and cayenne pepper. I think I will have a few of those since I accidentally bought a bottle of grade B maple syrup once and it tastes terrible on pancakes. Mostly I'm going to have juice, made in the blender and in my neighborhood juice places, where I have never been. I guess you have to be careful not to have too much juice because then you'll be digesting as many calories as ever. I think I will incorporate bentonite clay and flaxseed also. No enemas. I'm going to start on Thursday night by going to the library to get a bunch of lite reading, hopefully including Jonathan Ames, who apparently has a great interest in this kind of thing, and some movies to really space out with. Maybe I will also finish The Magic Mountain this weekend, which is sort of about therapeutic retreats. After the library I'll go to the new Jamba Juice on 42nd st for dinner and the new Coliseum books so I can fuss over some fasting books some more. I will go to yoga every day, and ponce around looking at flowers. Yes I will still come to anyone's barbeque who asks me, though sadly I think that beer does not count as a juice, alas!
